About Me: I was born in Pomona when my dad was a student at Cal Poly. We lived in Redlands and Riverside, then I moved to Sacramento to finish my degree. I worked for a local CPA firm in Sacramento and was licensed in 1990. I started a family and worked from home for 5 years. I worked for a large church in Sacramento, becoming its Controller while continuing to do accounting, auditing, and tax preparation from home.  In 2013 our family moved to Redding when I came on staff at Bill McMahon, CPA in Red Bluff. I became a partner in 2020. I have experience in small business, individual, and nonprofit entity accounting and tax preparation.

Eric Blanchard

From: Redding, CA

Education: Associate’s degree in business administration, Shasta Community College; bachelor’s degree in finance, Chico State University

About Me: Born and raised in the Redding area, my interest in accounting stems from a lifelong passion for numbers. Being a math-minded person, I've always found certainty in numbers. Numbers can often tell a story, and when it comes to accounting, it mixes that certainty with the art of what makes the most sense for a client. In a world full of maximums and minimums, I enjoy creating a story for clients that helps them experience a minimum of taxes and a maximum amount of refunds.

Fun Facts: In my free time, I enjoy playing golf and poker. Lately, I've also been coaching sports, specifically golf and wrestling.
